STEP 1: How To Create Ranksnap Projects

Projects are like folders where you keep and manage particular data. If you are working on couple of sites it is better to have a separate project for each. Name the project in a manner that helps to identify what it contains. Projects also offer a description box where you can keep notes relevant to the said project.

To Create Project

  1. Click on Projects
  2. Click Create New Project
  3. Fill the text boxes
  4. Click Save

STEP 2: How To Create Ranksnap Accounts

For every site you want to post to you have to open an account. This requires email address or user name and a password. This is automatically created by ranksnap. However certain important factors have to be borne in mind before creating accounts.

Some blog sites use sub-domain names and therefore you have to feed the software with relevant information. Otherwise the software will create sub-domain names that are not relevant or which may sound very odd to your niche. You can choose words that are niche related or go for something general in nature like 'people-and-blogs'. Niche specific words are ideal but I prefer general words as I can use the same accounts for all niches. Posting to the same accounts regularly keeps them live and also increases the page authority.

It is very difficult to get sub-domains with plain text words like 'people-and-blogs' so you have to settle for text words and numbers. For example 'people-and-blogs-5278' is practical.

The use of dashes gives a good look as well as ease of name identification. Doing without them is a personal preference. You can also use single text word with the numbers.

Here we need a little understanding about syntax because the numbers have to be fed in syntax form. If you choose a fixed number and if the subsequent sub-domain is not available you may end up with an auto generated name that is not relevant.

The syntax format for the above sub-domain name is like this: people-and-blogs-{0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}{0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}{0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}{0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}

It is recommended in the beginning to create only one account per site. Since account creation is not a daily affair a lit bit of time needs to be spent.

Do not create multiple blog accounts at the same time either to the same site or different sites. You can end up with similar name sub domains on different sites. For example a sub-domain name like 'people-and-blogs-5278' on multiple sites is undesirable and may look fishy to search engines. You can create multiple accounts at a go for blog sites that do not use sub-domains and for bookmarking and status update sites.

Details like 'sub-domain syntax' and 'Blog Title' and 'Blog Description' have to be prepared beforehand. Example of this is given in the text box below. Except sub-domain syntax other details are not very important at this point as we are not going to choose 'Publish' option.

While creating accounts choose the option 'Create Accounts Automatically' and do not choose 'Create Accounts and Publish'.

To create Blog Accounts

  1. Click on Accounts
  2. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  3. Click on Blog Posts
  4. Tick Mark the box of a particular site
  5. Click Create Accounts Automatically
  6. Fill the text boxes
  7. Click Yes, Start!

To create Bookmark Accounts

  1. Click on Accounts
  2. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  3. Click on Bookmarks
  4. Tick Mark the boxes of all the sites
  5. Click Create Accounts Automatically
  6. Click Yes, Start!

To create Status Update Accounts

  1. Click on Accounts
  2. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  3. Click on Status Updates
  4. Tick Mark the boxes of all the sites
  5. Click Create Accounts Automatically
  6. Click Yes, Start!

IMPORTANT: Download accounts information as soon as you finish creating them. Instructions are given in step 9 below. You can lose all account information forever if there is any glitch in the software.

STEP 3: How To Create Ranksnap Posts

Before posting article to multiple sites one has to understand that if the same copy of an article is posted multiple times then Google is going to index only one. The rest will be sheer waste. The solution to this problem is to use syntax articles. What exactly is syntax is already explained in the video on 'how to create accounts'.

Ranksnap Article Rewriter is an add on and does not come with the software. It provides syntax articles but not of great quality. Moreover these articles probably have been already used thousands of times. Since the cost is affordable it will suffice for beginners. I suggest Spin Rewriter as a fairly good article spinner. Creating posts via 'Publish' option is good for posting articles without any links inside them. However you can still create single or multiple links using this option.

It is recommended to create links in the beginning using generic anchor text like 'try this out' or 'check this out'. Proper care has to be taken if you want to place links inside the articles using keyword anchor text. For more details on using keyword anchor text read the section on 'Importance Of Using Keyword Anchor Text' on the lower part of this page.

To Create Posts

  1. Click on Publish
  2. Click on Blog Posts
  3. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  4. Click on Add
  5. Fill in the article details or Spin article or Create article
  6. Select word or phrase you want to create backlink with.
  7. Click on Square Box with the letter I on the menu bar. A pop up box will appear.
  8. Choose the proper Protocol http:// or htpps://. Be careful as default is http://
  9. Enter the URL of your choice.
  10. Click on OK
  11. If you want to create more links repeat the process
  12. Click Create

Your post is now ready for publishing. The next section deals with posting the article to single or multiple sites.

STEP 4: How To Post Ranksnap Posts Using 'Publish' Option

To Publish Posts

  1. Click on Publish
  2. Click on Blog Posts
  3. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  4. Choose a post (if you have created more than one)
  5. Tick Mark the boxes of the required sites OR Click Select All
  6. Click Publish Scheduled

You can also use the Publish option to post to bookmarking and status update sites.

The Publish option can also be used to create Tier 2 backlinks to the post using the Second Tier Links option while creating the posts.

Unlike the Campaigns option the post in the Publish option can be edited any number of times. A post can also be copied from one project to another using the Copy option.

STEP 5: How To Create Ranksnap Campaigns

Before creating campaigns it is necessary to understand tier backlinks. The video below on 'Understanding Tier Backlinks' provides the necessary inputs.

To Create Campaign

  1. Click on Campaigns
  2. Choose a project (if you have created more than one)
  3. Click on Create New
  4. Fill in the article details or Spin article or Create article
  5. Tick mark circle Select Randomly
  6. Choose the Start Date and Duration of the campaign
  7. Click on Next
  8. Scroll down Select template to load and select Tier Campaign of your choice.
  9. Click on Complete
  10. Click on Start

NOTE: The Title at the top is for your identification so use words related to topic of campaign. The Article Title is the one that will be posted. The Blog Subdomain details are irrelevant as you are going to use already created accounts but some text is required to be filled in.

Importance Of Using Keyword Anchor Text

If you are using the campaign option then you can just select a word or phrase in the article and click on 'CL' on the menu bar. 'CL' means campaign link. This will create a link using URL you earlier entered. A backlink will be created on every site where the article is posted. You can also use multiple keywords using syntax format.

For example {keyword1|keyword2|keyword3|keyword4|keyword5} is the syntax format.

You have to select the whole syntax and then click on 'CL'. The software will randomly choose the keyword or keyword phrase while posting. Please note that keyword means a single word or a phrase.

IMPORTANT: Do not use multiple URLs as the tool randomly chooses the keyword and does not follow any particular sequence. It creates a mess by attaching keyword to the wrong URL.

However you can create backlinks using multiple URLs in the same article using the link option on the menu bar.

How To Create Backlinks To Multiple URLs

  1. Select word or phrase you want to create backlink with.
  2. Click on Link Icon on the menu bar. A pop up box will appear.
  3. By default 'Parent URL' is selected. Parent URL is the moneysite URL which we don't want.
  4. Click on the Drop Down Arrow and select URL.
  5. Choose the proper Protocol http:// or htpps://. Be careful as default is http://
  6. Enter the URL of your choice.
  7. Click on OK

You can repeat the above procedure to create multiple backlinks on the same post. You can use anchor text in plain text or in syntax format.
